So feeling a bit bored and decided to think about some of the levels I enjoyed the most as a kid in Mario games.

Donkey Kong was the jumping girder level. I love then noises those hopping things made.

Mario Bros was one when the crabs first show up, they are so adorable.

Super Mario Bros was 4-3 since I loved the Mushroom Cap platforms.

SMB2 was the Mouser fight for how colorful the boss room looked.

SMB3 was world 4-1 cause the giant enemies blew me away as a kid.

Super Mario Land was the last level in the plane. Just so much fun and the ending theme is beautiful.

Super Mario Land 2 was Space Zone in general for the gravity being wonky and fun.

Super Mario World was the first level in world 2 for the cape power up.

Yoshi's Island was the boss fight in the stomach of the frog.

Super Mario 64 was great for the Clock level. Just felt comfy as fuck.

What levels do you enjoy in old video games, /vr/?

Those fuckers stressed me out hard as a kid in that ice level. Slipping and sliding and almost having a heart attack to avoid them.

Bad memories, anon.

Super Mario World - Forest of Illusion. Finally a unique environment. The difficulty spike. Unique enemies. It was pretty ace.

Super Mario Land - I forget, World 4.something, I think. The vaguely asia-inspired world with the kung fu enemies you can't kill by jumping on them. Pretty difficult as a kid.

Super Mario Land 2 - The entire Pumpkin Zone was great. Really unique feel to it, and the boss was pretty okay as well. The variety of enemies was astounding, and it contained a shitton of secrets.

Super Mario 64 - Lethal Lava Land. Exhilarating to play, it's very fast. A lot of stars that can be reached in several different ways. And you fucking jump into a volcano.

Anyone have any levels beyond Mario? I know I loved the final level of Pokemon Snap with Mew. Was so peaceful.

And then Special world. Seeing that SuperFamicom logo and having no clue what it was because the US controller buttons were purple.

Even Stage 5? That one felt like a such a letdown compared to the rest of the game.

Fun fact: after 4 Mike's Hard Lemonades, this level appears normal.

I can. I get a strong buzz off of one beer. I'm 24 and about 5'9" and I've weighed 96lbs since I was 15. My metabolism is crazy. It's nice being a cheap drunk, but then it's also a pain in the ass at times. It's really easy to accidentally go over your limit.

I find it fun to run through that level as fast as possible. Ignoring everything.

I'll think of some as well, OP.

>Donkey Kong: 75m (50m in the NES version). I'm with OP on that.
>Mario Bros: The levels where Freezies first appear. I liked those icy assholes. I believe the icy floors they make add to the challenge.
>SMB1: World 8-4 and World 6-3 (I liked the castle palettes in the NES version of World 6-3)
>SMB2 JP: World 8-3. I liked how it took place in the clouds
>SMB2 USA: World 6-3
>SML: World 2-3 and World 4-3
>SMB3: World 5-3. Fucking loved that level for those based Goomba's Shoes
>SMW: Funky. "YOU ARE A SUPER PLAYER !!(?)" in coins
>SML2: Space Zone's levels
>SMW2: YI: World 5-3-Danger! Icy Conditions Ahead! (Dat skiing)
>SM64: Tick Tock Clock (Same as OP's

When I was a kid I always called that the "pizza level".
