Mannnn, I love X4... the rest feel like a chore to play through. I think after X4 you're better off just playing through zero series. Then Mega Man ZX Advent isn't bad if you really really like zero aha.

I did exactly this during a whole-series playthrough recently. I guess it wasn’t whole-series technically, but playing X5-8 once when they were new was enough for a lifetime. X8 is the best of them and it isn’t even that good, it’s just not dogshit.

i thought x4 was passable but i hated x5. the whole timer thing triggered me way too hard. i dont even remember if i played x6. i know i didnt play x7 or x8. i really liked mm8 despite its retarded playmobil look. by the time this series reached the ps2 i kinda just stopped caring i guess...any time i felt like playing mega man i would just go back to one of the many older games.
