Do you like using this controller? Is it worth getting this one or one of the PS2/PS3 versions instead?

>> No.9262368

The PDP versus is very similar and miles cheaper.

Microswitch sticks are nice for some genres, but my go-to is still generally a Saturn pad.

It is different feeling than other controllers. It is nice if you get used to it. The PS2 one has more buttons which is useful for a lot of other games. On NeoGeo fighting games, I would prefer if the buttons could be remapped to the top buttons to punches with the bottom two for kicks, left ones for weak attacks while the right ones for heavy attacks, instead of its weak on bottom punches on left style.

I only have one PDP pad, and it has developed that sticky plastic like it is melting or covered in honey feeling. I have no idea what caused it, but it was hardly used for a few years and it is the only controller that had that happen to me.

You're a dumb retard, but just rub the pad down with some isopropyl. They put that stupid rubber coating on it, I had the same shit on a 3DS grip the other day. Pain in the ass to remove, but it's not a big deal.

What does your fagot collection of shitturn pads have to do with Neo Geo? Kill yourself

The question was
>Do you like using this controller?
His answer was
>Not particularly
Nice reading comprehension. I'll additionally agree how the Saturn pad has nicer input due to a shorter travel distance.

>What does your fagot collection of shitturn pads have to do with Neo Geo? Kill yourself
because he has the pdp pad in there, which is similar to the SNK pad due to the clicky thumbstick
>>9265220
do you have the new wireless saturn pad from retrobit?

Will that be a constant thing where the PDP plastic turns to a glue? Or is it just the one layer?

>>9265110
It is just a basis for my preference in controllers and how the NeoGeo pads are to me in relation. I like them, it was pretty good for the Pocket, but on a home system, I still prefer Sega Saturn pads since my execution in games is better with them. Possibly due to muscle memory from the years, plus I heard there is the factor in how they are not produced in the same way they used to be, so maybe the newer ones are better.

Had one of these, couldn't like it. Feels like an analog with zero resistance that clicks. Basically like a mini stick from an arcade stick that has a very light spring. I think that would be better if it was used the same way as with fightsticks, and at that point, why not get one of those.

I like the Puyo Puyo Fever one. It is orange on white. Sega Saturn pads have a few nice colors available.

Oh no, my feelings, they're hurt.

>>9266570
Great, the price of isopropyl has increased in my area. I use a lot of it, but I may have to opt to not restore the PDP pad, since it is seldomly used. Not exactly worth the restoration effort for the price.

>>9269551
I still like it. The mentality is that it is a sort of hybrid between an arcade stick and d-pads. I like arcade controls having all the buttons comfortably accessible with one hand but my execution of fighting game motions are better with Sega Saturn pads due to retained muscle memory of decades which is difficult to undo.
