I got plenty of mileage out of this game. Something satisfying about the look/feel of it

I think the game is kinda neat, but yeah the pork boarding segments kill it for me. It's a shame because there's some cool shit there, the boomerang cleaver gun is rad.

This game really makes you feel like your controlling a bee. People hate the controls but I find them to be very intuitive. No other game feels like this game.

It was my first pc game it came with one of those magazines, I didnt even know what I was doing most of the time, I dont remember much, it must be a lot better to play with a gamepad, maybe someday I will try it on my n64 with the flaschcart

Turok Evo was really fun for multiplayer. Doing 2 raptors vs 2 humans deathmatch on the treehouse level where the human players needed to leave the safety of the central structure to get weapons was always fun to play.

Yeah that fucker runs fast, but if you just tap the run button its fine.

Earthworm jim translates perfectly to 3D but they didn't know how to do that. Was making games that hard back in the day? A platformer game is pretty simple, you just need to setup player character physics values, hitboxes and maybe script a few things. It's insane how inefficient everything was back then

Mortal Kombat Armageddon is my favorite retro fighting game. I loved the campaign and the “create a fighter” and everything else about it.

For me it's DK64. I think I love it for the reasons that other people hate it - it's the only 3D platformer that really challenges me or has any weight to it, every other game in the genre feels like it's over way too quickly. Then again, I'm not sure how hated that game really is outside of the more dedicated retro community. I'd reckon it's not as hated by casual fans.
