Well in the end he goes back in time to when they both still lived in the forest and that destiny was already fulfilled, so they could just stay together if they wanted to. Might get a bit awkward when Link grows up again though.

Alas, Navi fucked off not shortly after the master sword was returned - meaning Link could no longer navigate through the forest. I remember reading (through some level of canon) he DID try to go back to the village, got lost, and became some kind of a ghoul or whatever.
Whatever happened, he could no longer return. His childhood was ruined.

Maybe I'm taking the bridge out of the forest too literally and not as an abstraction, but he would probably be able to walk through a tunnel, cross a bridge and walk through another tunnel in order to end up in the Kokiri forest. I'd also imagine that if he were to get lost, the new Deku tree would probably send someone to look for him and help him come back eventually.

He does further imply that Saria liked Link when you talk to him as an adult. It does click together with the very melancholic reunion they have in the Chamber of Sages. She knows it's not and cannot be in the cards.

Some time after OoT, with Ganondorf's plot now preempted, kid Link eventually goes into the woods in search of Navi. He eventually gets lost, and thus the opening scene of Majora's mask.

Link fucking died entering the lost woods like a retard without a fairy to find navi.

Guy died, went through the limbo world of Termina, then passed on into the afterlife after preventing complete destruction of his soul by Majora. Saria lived and probably fucked that faggot Odo or whatever his name was, the asshole Kokiri.

The games basically imply Zelda, Link, and Ganon will always exist in some form no matter what happens. Ganon getting stabbed in the face with the master sword and then coming back like a Saturday morning cartoon villain the next game is just one of those things that you let slide.

Were the fairies tiny glowing people with wings or were they just glowing orbs?

>> No.9243341

>>9243335
I've gone back and forth on this, but I think they're orbs. They're orbs with wings in all of the official illustrations, and the fairies that you can make appear with the Sun's Song or Song of Storms are just orbs without wings.

Zelda Fairies have always been little flying creatures. Just that for the N64 they found it easier to render her as a ball of light which obscures their body. Any Zelda taking inspiration from Ocarina goes with the ball of light rendering, but every other one does not.

>> No.9243376

>>9243367
This is ultimately just my interpretation (the first anon you replied to) of what goes on in the games, but I think they are all pretty closely related since despite taking place in different timelines or realities, they were all created by the gods/goddesses/goddess and have something to do with the Triforce. Link is also the guy that the gods choose to whoop on whatever flavor of Satan shows up in every game.
I think they're all related since the same creative force made all of their settings and put their stories in motion. I don't care about the fan or official timeline, to be clear.

It's not even a matter of Skyward Sword or whatever. What I was trying to say is that these are games for children, and you're going to see the exact same heroes and villains showcased in every main iteration because that's just how these things work. Just like Superman will always fight Lex Luthor and save Lois Lane no matter how played out and tired the plot gets, Link will always fight Ganon and save Zelda. Don't expect some epic subversion in a mainline game. The writers have a formula and they're not letting it go any time soon.
