Don't mind me, just another obscure and neat little Famicom RPG you've never heard of but I know you're itching to play now.

Even the Famicom Dragon Quest games feel clunky, call me when you find an obscure and neat little Super Famicom RPG instead

The Famicom/NES is one of the most explored retro libraries and has no obscure games left. If you haven't heard of something before, it's because it's dogshit.

>>9236723
That may be true for the NES (but even then... people usually talk about the same 100-150 games at best, there are more good games than that on the console) but it's definitely not true about the Famicom. I can list several good Famicom games that don't even have a mobygames/wikipedia page

you probably think you know everything about the platform because you've played Mario, Zelda, and the list goes on anyway

Have you tried the following:
Mother
Lagrange Point
(yes, these two count as DQ knock offs)
Ninjara Hoi!
Jubei Quest
Heracles no Eiko II: Titan no Metsubo
SD Keiji - Blader
Musashi No Bouken

Those are the best ones I can think of, DQ clones specifically, bottom of the barrel would be this shit I just posted above and Lasalle no Child's Quest. Then if you bother to move the barrel you'd find Bloody Warrior Shan-Go underneath it.

>> No.9237476

>>9237354
Heracles no Eiko II is so much better than the first one i can't believe they're made by the same people. The first one is head-scratchingly bad. The sequel is not only competent, but good. The fourth one on SNES is my favourite.

It was good, but then you get that one spear mid way through the game that's completely OP if you use it in battle and remains viable up until the end boss

I've played them all and a lot more. On the other internet sometimes it's called Ninja Rahoi, but most of the times it's just called Ninjara Hoi. I don't speak Japanese, I thought it might be a play on words since the game is full of humour. I supposed in Japanese it's "Ninjarahoi" anyway.

That was neat but the end game gameplay was a chore, then again so it was in the first game.

Name one time outside of retards on the net just repeating that. There is a character named Rahoi in the game. "Ninjara Hoi" is just a misread title that's become widespread simply because of repetition and rote memory (many such cases).
