There's a handful of really good Japanese exclusives, but most of my favorites were regular mainstream releases, just like with most other consoles. I think the Saturn tends to get compared to TurboDuo a lot, which is understandable seeing as they have a lot of the same kinds of games, but even then I'd say the Saturn had a much stronger presence in the west.

Respectfully disagree with you on Guardian Heroes and Magic Knight Rayearth. Clockwork Knight is okay imo but not amazing. I haven't played the other two yet, only played the Oasis games very briefly

Panzer Dragoon 1+2 and Die Hard Arcade are the only real killer apps on US Saturn. Honestly JP isn’t much better but they did get Elevator Action Returns which is almost enough reason for me to pick up a cheap JP console.
