For me it's Gran Turismo 2. No matter how many times I boot it up, I can always find a car I wanna race for a bit.

I always stop after each room or cutscene to call everyone on the codec and see if they have something new to say, and they often do.

imo in terms of the dithering argument for genesis - i think it just depends on the game
sometimes i prefer upscaling to a gaming monitor; sometimes i prefer my large crt, sometimes i prefer a 14" crt

sometimes i want max comfy and play on a portable 5" color crt in the kitchen while my food cooks

I didn't even notice this was a dithering bait thread until seeing your post because that's how little I care about graphics.
If I can make out the character I'm playing as and some semblance of enemies and and a level then I'm good. Mostly just tune out any weird looking graphics automatically without thinking about it.

>> No.9219320

I enjoy playing every single level until metropolis zone. Its one thing to make you anticipate things but the enemies are designed so specifically that it doesnt fucking matter what you do before hand, you WILL get hit and lose rings

I think sonic 2 is the worst of the trilogy. blatantly unfair design to compete with the length of Super Mario world, since it had no save system and much fewer levels

I find it really is only really neat in Sonic 1, with the rainbow shimmer, the later games don't plan around as shitty TVs

Its heavily based on trial and error moreso than Sonic 1 or 3. First time going through the later zones are explicitly designed to take your lives, the issue is the game isn't hard and the devs knew it, to prevent you from beating the game so fast they made some blatant unfair designs to take some cheap lives so customers felt like they got their money worth

I have to play Quake 2 at least once a year. I'm sorry, /vr/.
I like the floaty movement and the engine quirks like double-jumping on edges. I like to go through the main game and expansions on Hard+, running as fast as I can and kiting enemies so they fight each other trying to get me (except on Ground Zero because of sentry turrets and Medic Commanders).
I also play Q3A's singleplayer a lot because I can start the game and jump into a game right away.

You have to be baiting that game is ridiculously easy i admit that metropolis is filled with bullshit enemies and enemy placement but everything up to that is so easy it gets kinda boring

>> No.9221234

>>9221225
Uh yeah nigger thats what I meant, once you hit metropolis they just fill cheap shit you have a 99% chance of not reacting to your first time through
The entire game is easy otherwise, like I said they did this to take your time since they knew players would be it quickly

I'll tell you a story.
One time my mom bought me a SA2 game for Christmas. My life has never been the same ever since, and I wanted to play the first game but it was already a sort of the rarity at the time.

Then, the other day, I was far away from home visiting other place and saw a random tent selling Dreamcast discs. They've had Sonic Adventure 1 but I didn't have any money. So when I returned home, I asked mom to take bus to that place and buy me a disc. She did, but when I got it, it turned out that seller somehow swapped the discs inside by mistake and put another SA2 disc inside SA1 box. I had to ask my mom to go back and return it which she angrily did. Asking her to pick up the correct disc was already too much, so I never got to play Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast.
Year later, i found PC version in store nearby and guess what, got it for Christmas after telling mom.

Life is a giant web of coincidences and we're just tiny flies in it.

RE4 is a shitty game. Played it, didn't like it, which led to me not buying RE5. Resident Evil Code Veronica was the last good REAL Resident Evil game.
