I think it looks good. I never noticed it really when it came out until the last few years when people point it out. Probably helps Link stand out more since there is really no pink in the game. Those 256 on-screen colors being put to use! Fuck Genesis.

I always liked the side sprite and thought the walk animation for the side view was very smooth and well done. The front view sprite isn't that great though. He looks cross eyed and the ears are HUGE.

Dungeons are huge but the sprites are crappy, I was playing some snes games and snes sprites are uglier than genesis sprites. it's like they've done everything they can to get performance on this console, so the games look crappy. i can't imagine beyond oasis on a snes, dungeons are smaller but the graphics are on another level
