Got a new toy local to me. Finally found one of these bastards after years of looking. BUT something else came up from this purchase. The guy had a NES Super Chair as well. not the hot seat

THE SUPER CHAIR

Supposedly, the picture quality is higher then a standard hook up to a regular commercial tv of the era and magazines used screenshots from them for that reason.

It is. I believe they were only sold through Sears in the US. Sharp NES TV is what they are generally referred to as. Sharp has had a good partnership with Nintendo, doing their various hospital funcenter kiosks as well over the years.

Problem with these is either the 4 legs get broken off or the 2 fron flip panels go missing. Very nice otherwise, got mine for 150 about 8 years ago, cant imagine what autism they go for now.

>> No.9204862

I hesitate to speak for someone else, but in this scenario: I think that guy likes Mario. I saw that picture last time time it was posted too, for what it's worth, and I enjoyed it both times.
I just hope that the photographer has more going for them than the Mario shrine, and they probably do. Mario is just that good.

like it has a custom ppu? there's a reason stock NESes only do composite out at highest

>> No.9205859

cool find, op. i would have gone mental for that as a kid

There is a Famicom version that i think is straight up RGB from what i recall. I dont think the nes version is the same way and i never looked into an actual tear down of one, but ive seen multiple places over the years claiming its better then a standard nes composite output. Ive looked at one in person side by side and it does look slightly better but that could just be my brain fucking with me. Its possible the claims are just bs thats been parroted over the decades.

Thats the Worlds of Power novelization of Blaster Master that has content in it that became actually canon to the ps1 sequel.(and i want to say Zero also, but im not sure)

The MM5 thing is just an advertisement someone ripped out of the back of a comic book.

Pretty sure the ghost lion poster came packed in with the game.

Damn, I had no clue. I'd heard of this thing before and just assumed it was actually sold at some point. That's probably museum-worthy to somebody out there.
