Here Black & White 1, playing god felt kinda epic back then.

This one was a bit crappy, but I already played a lot of Zoo Tycoon with the dino addon so I wanted more of that.

Here a fun game that no one played.

Cossacks was awesome, having like 500 units on the screen was rad.

My vice is throwing absurd resolutions at old games and that is easiest done in the PC space. If I could've had my games look like this in the 90's/early 2k I sure as fuck would've.

I have this exact same card in my current PC running a Ryzen 5, it's a hold-over from my previous PC I bought over a decade ago whose mobo died last year. I would have gotten a new one (really wanted a RTX 3060 ti at the time) but the shitty GPU situation made it impossible.

I originally played this on some piece of shit PC at about 20fps and loved it. These days i'm not so limited on performance front which is nice.

I loved playing Sonic & Knuckles Collection on PC as a kid.
That MIDI soundtrack is kino, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
I was always disappointed that Sonic 1 and 2 were never ported to the PC back then.

Got this game when I was younger, like 10 years old, and had absolutely no fucking idea what I was doing or how to do anything. Never gave it much of a chance after that.

I did exactly the same thing, really tried to love it but it just wasn't fun. I was trying to teach my creature to plant trees and water/poop on them (since if you don't achieve this, you will spend literally 90% of your playtime planting trees), but after several attempts I was having no luck. In desperation I looked up very detailed guides on how to do it, and while doing that I learned that the game only has six levels, and that it is generally recommended that you put dozens of one-off miracle tokens through the portal in each level before finishing. Just gave up on the spot.

Hell yeah! There seems to be a lot that would disappear as they have not really been curated by a platform holder or just too obscure. Especially when the nature of some games are online only and allowed to fade away. I used to play a lot of DOS games, one of my favorites from my youth was Cobra Mission. It had rough dialog, but was a decently fun JRPG styled game.

AGP cards are dying, RAM going bad, destroyed from excessive heat, cracked lead free solder joints... not much gaming round here.

Sort of lucked out. Should be able to snag something cheap with the new cards coming out and the market flooded with too many new chips.

Even Nvidia is forcing retailers to sell below the 'actual' MSRP that the current cards have never been even close too. $550 for a 3070ti is great. Can only get better.

Game is in EA for 2 years now and they have barely improved anything.
Some icon sprites were improved and hd resolutions added, that's pretty much it from what I've seen.
Multiplayer is still broken and glitches from the original game still remain.

No new content or anything as of now, looks like a cheap cash grab to me.

The circumstances under which they released it were big red flags too.

Yeah, it struck a nice balance between edgy and goofy. I preordered that one and waited forever for its release. Megatech only had a small table to exhibit at a trade show and I did take quite a few fliers from them, wished I could have talked to the exhibitors there more.

Messing around with PCem and I love it, it brings back lots of memories of installing Windows and so on. Works a bit slow on my machine.

Any tips on how to make it go faster? the percentage on tops regularly drops to around 60-70%.

The packaging on some of these PC games is really nice. Even the surface of the boxes have a feel that is special. I remember getting Ys II Eternal from the falcom shop, and along with all the stuff they gave with the game box, there's a lot of stuff inside the game box too. They really made the effort in making getting an official copy extra special, probably to discourage bootlegging.
