Tate mode is the main reason I bought a cousin of the PVM; a Sony SSM. The completely flat sides and handles make it really easy to flip for tate games. DoDonPachi on the PlayStation looks sick on it.

Not really.

I’m afraid I just don’t agree with you at all, peepee. I like playing some arcade games at home, namely shmups. I also like to play fighting games with my buds whenever I have them over. Versus puzzle games are also a good time.

The arcade model limits its game design. You can't have 20-hour long relaxed adventures, there's almost certainly a bullshit part to steal your coins, etc.

>> No.9164683

The arcade model fostered exciting and short gameplay sessions that leave you wiped after but instantly planning your next go around.

That's fine. I don't always want that out of a video game. Sometimes I just want something with great music and visuals, simple gameplay and a low time commitment.
