With the state of fan translations at the moment i don't want any more translations. Lunatics have taken over that area too, and now we've got people who don't know japanese releasing "localization" patches where they literally just make up the dialogue.

I don't know a spot of JPN but I was playing Brightis and wanted to understand what everyone was saying, so I made a dinky script that lets me to crop sections of my display and pipe them into google translate... The results are not perfect due to OCR + spotty translations but its good enough for my needs. I don't know if anons have better tools for this but I thought I should share it.
Its for wayland, and requires a few tools you should be able to find in your repository. If you're on X11 you should be able to repurpose it with X11 versions of these utilities. The trans command is provided by translate-shell, which is a package for invoking google translate from the command line.

this game doesnt deserve or even need a translation. played through the french version, story is so barebones you can play in japanese it would be the very same experience. that's not a good game anyway, too easy too boring, too much combat, good art and graphics though but that's about it
