Target Renegade, probably.

This game has no redeeming features besides the soundtrack. It's ugly as hell, the gameplay is stiff, and you'd be better off playing Double Dragon. I don't know why I even bothered to get good at the game. I didn't beat it until after I discovered ROMs, so it's not like I didn't have better games to play.

This piece of shit right here.
>retarded control scheme
Hold attack button and press movement key to perform a fast/normal/heavy attack. This applies to changing weapons too. And this means you can't move while attacking/changing weapons.
>no strafing
Yeah, there's mouse look, but it's useless, because you can still turn with the keyboard. Strafing is considered a dodge move and is performed by holding the dodge button and pressing a direction.
>animations
Everything takes too fucking long. What? You got that sweet weapon? It's fucking useless because attack animations take god knows how long to finish. Dodging? It's too slow, it's useless. Blocking takes 5s and has 1 frame block window.
>canceling
You can cancel every single animation by pressing use key. You can even cancel a jump mid-air, because jumping is a static animation.
>melee weapons are using mana
>camera controls
Don't even try to move the camera up or down, it will start acting like a pendulum.
>shitty level design.
>collisions
Everything has a huge collision box, enemies can be used as platforms, you can get stuck on slopes.
>doors can kill you
>unbalanced multiplayer
Each class starts with different HP pool, one weapon can stunlock everything in a room, other weapon can crash players to desktop.
>one gamebreaking bug.
You need to kill a specific number of monsters to open the door but sometimes they stop spawning.

The NES version of Final Fantasy. None of the weapon elements work, some of the spells do nothing, the intelligence stat doesn't work, and most of the game's enemies are designed around being incredibly annoying as opposed to threatening.

The bosses were far too easy, even Chaos, and that's with spells only doing base damage. On the other side of things, spells only doing base damage is why all the popcorn enemies that spam stun attacks are so goddamn annoying.

Oh no, you stunned me and did 20 damage to my 720 health. Well this is dumb. Too bad this entire dungeon is filled with max groupings of them. - most of the FF1 dungeons

Cheetahmen II. Although "beat" is a subjective term since there isn't a real ending, even if you manage to glitch into the inaccessible later levels.

For actual released games, I'd say FFIV, then known as FFII on SNES. I still say it's a clunky pile of crap, but I know it's miles better than some of the crap other kids had to play.

This fucking bullshit. I got through every level, and while it's actually interesting in the way they keep adding elements to what would otherwise be copypaste levels (for example, level 2 adds pits, 3 adds crossroads where you can get run over, 4 adds a few things -- pterodactyls that'll fly you backwards to fuck you up, Taz's mother, who chases you and if you stop for too long she'll catch up and you instantly lose, and the birds will trick you by speeding up when you're close or stopping so you miss them -- but after the first six levels or so it just stops being interesting due to each level being THE SAME EXACT THING outside of those additions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIrzVkRBdKc

I think what made the game interesting as a kid was how so many things happened at once, but gameplay-wise it's really bland and repetitive.

I also beat Bubsy, but I LIKE that game and don't consider it bad, just mediocre.

The 2008 Economic Crisis: The RPG. Classes are Banker, Lawyer and Politician (with specialisations, for instance, the Politician can specialize in negotiating with adversaries (which would mean debuffs) or can use his oratory skills to raise the public into a frenzy (which would mean summons), and throughout the game, you run around the world, taking over the national banks like the EZB or the FED and use them to fight the crisis.
