Thoughts on Claymates?
As per with many western platformers, it has its issues, mainly in level design, but the character variety is fun and the overall claymotion rendered sprites look amazing.
It also has lowkey one of the comfiest map themes ever.

never played it but Blaze Processing seems like underutilized tech

It was better than I expected from a generic scotformer but still not very good. 3/5 stars. The art style is definitely charming though, I wish claymation would make a comeback.

Doesn't this game make the console run hot due to how much needs to be processed?

I never noticed a problem when I rented it back in the day. But I only played it for a weekend

Good way to keep your hot chocolate warm, rest it on the console.

The first world's levels are super comfy and fun, but the rest of the game gets very "western maze-like level design" and with lots of annoying enemy placement.
Still have lots of fun memories playing the first world of this.
Also, that one mode 7 bonus stage with the bouncing ball was actually the most fun part of the game, I want to play that again.

I had a lot of fun with it back in the day, it had a descent challenge. I wish I had finished it before I sold my SNES

this. really takes me back to better times with family movie rental night seeing all the snes boxes and picking claymates because of the lenticular cover. Movie rentals were special magical and mysterious nostalgic memories even if you got stuck with a crap game and never got very far. You had to pick a game based on the cover art or back of the box screenshots from a magazine and use your imagination.

My family rented it a single time. I liked it alright but didn't get into it deeply and haven't ever wanted to play it again. But I still remember at least two tunes from its soundtrack, in detail.

Your unfunny meme will never become popular, osto.
Scotformer sounds like it means someone who was formerly scottish, not what you want people to associate with.

Great game, the overall design put it above average in random snes platformers, unfortunately the level design is a bit haphazard after the Ocean world
The damn stupid carnival that you can see from your house has bothered me for years, especially since there's a path to it blocked by a tree. Going there with Action Replay does nothing and I was never able to contact anyone in the dev team about it
