Emufags do you use any shaders/filters for playing GB(A) games on a monitor? I've seen some people swear by those LCD grid shaders but they look kinda nasty when blown up to such a huge size
Also, surprised that we didn't get a thread about the MMBN collection.

Nah, I don't use shaders for anything when I emulate games.
I recently set up GBI for my Game Boy Player and have been using it to play GBA games from a flashcart. GBI really is noticeably better than the first party software for the Game Boy Player.

Everybody used blurring filters in the 90's and 00's because blocky pixels are unnatural, and these new filters trying to mimic a CRT are just laughable.
I'll take the right side of OP's image over these memes any day of the week. LCD's are LCD's and that's what works best.

I like the idea of blurring filters but they always come off too strong or otherwise give pixels a weird, squiggly, oil painted look. If there's a subtle one I'd probably be fine with it.
