Which one do you use as the leader after the first half of the game? Which one do you think the game most favors in this regard?

For casual playthroughs, I go with Chrono, Ayla, and Marle. It's a good mix of damage and healing.

For minmaxing and speedruns, the objectively correct answer is Magus, Robo, and Lucca so you can spam Omega Flare. That's how a low-level run was completed in about 6 hours at GDQ.
