I think you're misunderstanding what makes the arcade different from mobile gaming. Arcade games are about pushing the envelope of difficulty so that you not only become a better gamer, but also for arcade owners to get more revenue (an easy game will get dropped quick because there's no reason to practice it so as to get good; less play time = less profit). Whereas mobile games are made to be casual but filled with lots of progression and micro-transaction shit, there's no need to make hard games when idiots will just keep buying stupid shit that's sold in the games, just give them an addictive hook. Both are about profit at the end of the day, but employ completely polar opposite strategies.
