It’s really one of those games that I don’t think needed a remake. It was a graphical powerhouse at the time and still holds up alright. I also imagine that like REmake 2 a lot of stuff is gonna get cut, but unlike REmake 2 they won’t have the huge graphical leap to rely on as an excuse. I feel like back in the day remakes would up the graphics considerably, add a ton of things like playable characters or new modes, and implement quality of life improvements. Now remakes just seem to be better graphics at the sacrifice of art direction and atmosphere, and removing content that would be too difficult to implement or “offensive” for this era.

You can move out, you can buy property, you've probably graduated from school or gotten a GED barring that, so there should be no controversy at that point. You're a full blown grown ass adult. My point here anon is that I believe as a parent I should be the one instilling morals in my children, and that I should not derive the basis for my morals from the state and their interests.
I simply do not trust the motives of most 25 year olds that seek out high school students, or people fresh out of high school, as people to date. I don't think it is unreasonable of me to feel that most of those people are creeps and losers, and I wouldn't want my children to have anything to do with them at that age.
I don't think I should give them the freedom to do whatever the fuck they want even if it's a terrible idea. I would like to think that I will raise a child that won't even have these kinds of terrible ideas, but I am obviously not a parent myself yet.
My point here is that I would not feel comfortable taking such a laissez faire approach to child rearing based entirely on what the state finds acceptable. I frankly find that line of thinking to be pretty appalling, but that is ultimately just my opinion.

The reason it'll remake terribly is that a lot of its fun elements come from the unrealistic, gamey action system that did things like make you untouchable for their duration (virtually every A-button action is unkillable, including jumping places) and enemies were unable to move or do anything else after committing to an action until it was all the way over. These arcadey fun elements will be looked at with a microscope and declared "jank" without thinking about fun.
