Hey /vr/,

I'm planning to buy a Sega Saturn soon. Is there anything I should know before I buy one?

I plan to get a Model 2 (Round button) which I will then modchip and use an AR cart to allow region-free games without patching.

Is there any games I should get? I plan to get at least Keio 2, and I already have a few Japanese games.

Keio 2 is great but is very expensive for Euro and US versions of the game. I'd recommend getting a 4M action replay plus cart (google it) - it's 4MB memory, extra system memory (for save games) and allows you to play games from other regions too.

Guardian heros and Panzer dragoon are probably The besteht games known To mankind and also in The saturn. Also The dont Miss The classics/ must haves (Sega rally etc.)
There is a fighter fighters game that's supposed to be the highest ranked Saturn game

It does, but you can't save directly to it. You can copy saves to and from your Saturn's memory using the AR's menu.

i modded mine for cd-rs. also put svideo mod on it.
i had to put a region mod on mine cause i dont have the 4 in 1 AR. i just got the 4MB ram cart.
cant go wrong with saturn, me and my gf play saturn bomberman almost every night
