Actually somewhat inaccurate. While it's true the name is derived from paku-paku, the actual Japanese pronunciation of "Pakkuman." Because Japanese speech is more limited than English, words can have multiple valid Romanizations. Puckman was likely based on the hockey puck shape and decided for the sake of Western localization, as the "Pakkuman" name would be lost on non-Japanese audiences. After realizing that Puckman could be vandalized by turning the P into an F, they changed it to the equally-valid Romanization, Pac-Man. This is why despite the Romanization changing, the Japanese spelling パックマン has always stayed the same. Japan even adopted this Romanization for home ports and sequels.

>Because trying too hard is not a bad thing.
Actually it can be.
Let's say for instance, you want to swing your sword, so you press the swing sword button.
Now let's say you REALLY want to swing your sword, so you FUCKING PRESS DOWN HARD on that button. Pressing it harder doesn't gain more sword swinging, and in fact pressing the button harder, instead of in a calm like manner, could result in damaging the controller physically and messing up your sword swinging tempo due to pressing harder increasing the time you spend pressing the button longer but not increasing the time spent swinging your sword because the button doesn't respond to the length of time that the button is pressed (pressing the button harder will result in the button being held slightly longer), but it registers multiple presses, so you must press, release, and press again at a particular rate of pressing to elicit the most sword swings per second that the game will register.
Hope this puts things in perspective.
Your fart huffing behavior may just be your undoing, if you're not careful.

I genuinely prefer the combat of Zelda 1. The sword is strong but it has a narrow attack range so it's more about choosing when to stab shit and when to make use of your other tools.
Or just blow shit up with bombs, I guess. But I don't do that.

The combat of OoT is alright enough but there's not enough common real threats, with the exception of Dinolfos, Stalfos and Iron Knuckles, but those guys are saved as mini bosses. Zelda 1 towards the latter half just starts throwing Darknuts and Wizzrobes at you constantly, and the odd Like-Like or two to take that shield you just grinded a half hour to get.

>Did you not see that army of mace wielders, bowmen, and soldiers you had to fight through to get to the castle? No? Your welcome
I didn't see their corpses either. And he only gave me his sword, not the wallet full of rupees from killing them. What good does all those rupees do a dead man when he knows I have to go on an adventure and buy bottles and shit?

>2D Zelda games have notoriously bad combat
Not at all. It's not amazing by any means, but it's good. It's about positioning, there is a good density of enemies per room/area.
The 3D Zelda games feel slow.

Is that game hard for the right reasons or just hard for the sake of it?

Localized version is apparently harder. Thank Working Designs.

Only thing I like about 3D combat is swinging a controller around pretending I’m Lunk, otherwise every 3D game is kinda clumsy and shitty.

Not him, but you can't ever make me not mad about this. I'm fine with each game on it's own being pretty internally consistent, even dumb fucking train shit in PH.
However, when Nintendo keeps trying to tie the stories together and shits on the games at the same time, I always have to wonder what could have been if they had planned a little better or cared a little more.

I have thought about this before. His reluctance to let this youth face the adventure that rightly belongs to him-- because the future belongs to the young-- is a regressive attitude that suggests the uncle was ready for imminent drastic disruption of his self-organization; in this instance consisting of total bodily death. It was misdirected grandiosity on his part.

ph was not the train game. ph was pretty decent

To me it goes OoT->MM->LTTP->Z1->Z2. Nothing else really matters. We'll never have another zelda game with this kind of quality and tone. Also give link his cross shield back and stop making him blonde.
but i guess nintendo just wants to make link a girl or some shit judging from the new zelda games
lol
