YOU CAN REBUILD IT. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.

What? Here's what I would do. It just needs some TLC.

Buy scrap plastic sheets and cut them into small lengths, not unlike bandages, and put them aside.
Buy some CONCENTRATED PEROXIDE
Buy some OXY-CLEAN
Buy a LARGE-ISH CLEAR PLASTIC TUB
Mix up RETR0BRITE paste

Disassemble the Famicom
Spread RETR0BRITE paste onto the yellowed plastic. Glop it on evenly and totally
Let it SOAK UP DEADLY SOLAR RAYS for few hours

WASH CLEAN

Now you use epoxy resin and the plastic strips to rebuild the housing of the Famicom, attaching them to the INSIDE where no one can see them, and let it all cure for at least a day. After everything is back together and cured tight, fill in any holes or cracks with resin and let that cure. Buff it down flush with the surface. Paint optional.

Working on the AV out now. Should be no problem.

I paid about $80 for it. The RF output was snapped off, so that is why it was $80. I was going to AV mod it anyway, so there you go. This also means that without video output, it saw very little playtime (I imagine this happened early on). The pads are in great shape, and the PCB looks brand new.

Don't replace the case with a standard famicom case. The square button systems are slightly different. It's better to keep it original, or trade the broken system for a whole new one.

The top halves were exactly the same, the difference is with the bottom halves (which is fine on this one from what I can tell). Square buttons have a glossy bottom, while newer ones are matte.

from the looks of the box, it had impact damage from something bigger falling on it. Some really heavy freight probably hit into it because someone probably put the box into a spot where it fit low down in a stack of boxes, as opposed to higher up where it would have been safe.

Not much would have saved it from that kind of shipping.

Nothing really falls on anything else. That's not how crushing happens during shipping. If you've ever been in a shipping warehouse, you'd see that they pile shit the size of OP's box into 4-ft steel cages that can stack on each other at the corners, so no single package has to hold up an unreasonable amount of weight. Anything heavy gets labeled as such and put on pallets with the other heavy shit instead.

Boxes at the bottom of a cage end up having to hold up some weight but anything properly packed can take it. The box's outside edges are where most of the force goes, and as long as they hold, the contents are safe from being crushed.

The one thing you absolutely must never do is leave a lot of empty space in a box. That shit will just cave right in, and suddenly the weight isn't being held up by the edges of the box. It's pressing right down on the contents instead.
