What are some of /vr/'s favorite SEGA CD games? Pic related.

I think it's really impressive how they managed to pull off the 3D look using only a single FMV and some scaling effects with this game

The best version of the game in general.

I like Thunderstrike and the 3d F1 game, they look better to me than early polygon games. The F1 game is real twitchy to control. The cart ports can even be good even if they just ad music. I can imagine the disappointment of getting roadavenger and realizing its not an outrun style game which the packaging does imply.

you are still missing the studio katsudon books.

>>8881121
That's not saying much. The gameplay of EWJ is rather annoying to be honest.
The cd music was fucking sweet though, probably better than the game on its own.

I haven't played with the Sega CD too much, but I was very impressed with the shoot-em-ups. Especially Android Assault and Silpheed.
Keep meaning to try Lunar, as I've heard good things, but haven't got around to it yet.
Actually a pretty nice system. I kinda wish they had released a TurboDuo-style thing with the CD drive built-in. And then maybe just skip the 32X and Saturn... maybe their console business could have survived? Ah, who am I kidding, they were always an arcade company first.

They did the CDX and JVC's X'Eye which were basically like the Duo, but yeah I agree about the 32X and Saturn

Loadstar: The Legend of Tully Bodine.
Although patricians play the obviously superior PC version.

Thanks. I got the back in the day because it was so interesting and fun. It does remain some of my favorite MegaCD and Saturn games.

>>8881309
I only have 4 chapters of the Katsugekihen manga from these collected volumes of Sega Saturn game comics. I also got the Katsugekihen strategy guide somewhere, but I am unable to find it at this time.

>>8883356
That was not the reason I was interested in the games. Not as provocative as Mieow/Rustle art, but it is more silly than anything.

>>8883396
I did mention in the cancelled/censored due to music use that the UK demo disc ends after the first stage, but the stage select code still works and one can just access the rest of the game by starting at the 2nd stage or beyond. I also mentioned there is a code to get a LCD game which I don't think was mentioned elsewhere. It all got silenced/muted due to music I did not have the rights to.

It was a decent system.
