What /vr/ games are you playing these days?

I'm playing Xenogears for the first time and I'm having a blast, it's by far the most technical game I've seen on PS1, full of very complex 3d cutscenes, flawless framerate, the amount of 3d assets in game is staggering.

Tomb raider 4 but it's such bullshit sometimes. I don't see how people beat this without internet guides

Currently trying to finish up end game FFX. It's not enjoyable but I'm too far in to quit. The amount of grind needed to fight the superbosses is retarded, even with emulator set to 700% speed

Hope you continue to enjoy the game OP. I enjoyed it up until halfway until the combat became the same thing, the random encounters in dungeons pissed me off and the entire disc 2 left a sour taste in my mouth.

going through the castlevania series, i'm on rondo of blood now
really like the thing where you don't lose an subweapon if you accidentally grab another one, but by extension it's not too useful since there's seemingly no double/triple shot, though ig that's kinda nice because bosses are a lot more complex and it'd be lame to cheese em like that
the music is really good too but that's a given
also been playing finfan6, i had a playthrough last year but stopped after finding terra in the apocalypse, so i'm back to almost that section, got off the island with celes
probably should've taught strago his spells but i didn't feel like flying everywhere
think i'll continue it after sotn

Playing Vagrant Story, a ton of fighters and shooters (mostly 3D ones because for some reason, I really disliked 3D fighters when I was a kid; I was a real CAPCOM 2D elitist. Just an absolute prick) and I'm really enjoying DOA2 and planning on trying Bloody Roar on GC.

Also going through Shenmue for the first time and it's both wonderfully charming with its awkward dialog and also a genuine marvel and out of the box thinking.
Also SA2

I've been replaying pretty much every version of Resident Evil 1 and REmake for the past few weeks since I was making a video about it. I love it, just one of those games I never get tired of. Not retro but I also have a renewed appreciation for the DS port, it's pretty good.

If you're curious about which version to play or you've struggled to get into RE1 before, hopefully my video can help:

Grand Master, pretty neat game. Famicom A-RPG with a Mega Man mentality (you select your stage and you get upgrades in each one), apparently the story/ending differs on what you do too.

Thanks to whoever recommended it

Beat this in one sitting the other day on my mister. Really fun and imaginative. If it didn't have the McDonald's license it would 100% be more highly regarded. Strangely enough, there really isn't much McDonalds stuff in the game outside of the characters.

Finished Persona 2 a few days ago (Innocent Sin + Eternal Punishment). Gameplay was rife with every single bad JRPG trope you could imagine, but the storyline was good enough to keep me going until the end.
Currently playing Ocarina of Time. I've tried playing this game at least five or six times in the past, but I'd always lose interest after becoming adult Link for some reason. This time, I'm really gonna try to see it through to the end, just because it feels wrong to have not beaten this fucker already.

That framerate bout to take a hot shit all over your face before long. It's still a very performant game aside from a kmfew key areas and instances. Try to enjoy it for what it is and not what it could be. Soak in the world. It's got it's problems but you can easily overlook them.

I was playing Black Matrix+ because the setting seemed pretty cool but it's one of the most boring SRPGs I've ever played. Slow animations, big maps full of verticality, low unit mobility, a magic system that's more of a hassle than anything, not much to keep it interesting. Probably going to ditch it and move on to something else.

Any Flight Plan fans here can tell me which of their games are good? I finished Swordcraft Story 1 a few days ago and it was great.

I'm playing pic related. I enjoyed it somewhat all the way up to the World of Ruin. Now it feels like the game itself just wants to end and the entire thing feels like a slog. I really dislike that once you get access to the Falcon the game becomes too open ended. I prefer at least some streamlined design in my JRPGs.

VR Missions is such a based little game to sit down with if you wanna sneak but don't feel like the cutscenes. Played the shit out of MGS1+2 VR missions. Shame the series didn't do anything like that from then on. Closest thing was Portable Ops Plus' single player mode

Yeah, it's a shame. WoR is my favorite part, except for how easy it is to get OP enough to trivialize the game. My only gripe was that there was no penultimate dungeon to re-establish active tension with Kefka (and also give you two solid end-game dungeons instead of just one).

But your sentiment seems to be more common which is why the series took a hard swing towards less adventuring and more hallway simulation between cutscene events.
