So when I was a kid, my dad came back from a trip and had gotten us a copy of Sonic CD on pc. I have never been able to find this specific version anywhere online, the closest being the original japanese release. This was purchased in Australia around release and definitely not the normal european version you can find online. The box was white had the japanese logo on it and the disc matches the early release japanese copies but with english text. This copy also used the US soundtrack. Sadly the box has been lost to time. The disc has started to rot too. Has anyone got or seen a version of this game?

Well I do like Sonic cd a lot so there's a possibility I got too excited one time. Okay story time.
So when we got this game we were living in adelaide. We usually kept most of our pc games together and took care of our stuff but between all the moves this game got lost. For a while we lived in an old farm house in rural Australia and my dad had a lot old junk and furniture strewn about the property. Every year we'd do a big cleap up and I remember I would scour the house looking for this disc. Like an obsessive amount. There was this old pickers hut on the edge of the property that was up to the ceiling in random stuff and I went through it all to try and find this disc. This was early 2000s, I didn't even know what a mega cd was, or how to use ebay so to me it was the only way to get this game again. At the time sonic cd was still obscure so knowing about it but not seeing it for so long it had a kind of fever dream hold on me. If my parents and brother told me this game didn't exist I would have believed them. Something like 7-8 years later in my late teens and my dad comes in with his hand behind his back grinning. He didn't have to say it, I already knew he had found it. It was in my parents bedroom sandwiched at the top of their dresser under a stack of boxes face down. Why it wasn't with our other pc games nobody knows. Even if this version of the game is outdated and unplayable today on current pcs it being so hard to find for so long makes it my most treasured possession. Being crushed like that probably did the glue layer no favours so I'm not surprised its rotting.
