>that game you think would be nice to replay but has such an obnoxiously long intro you can't bring yourself to boot it up

On that front, I'd think of TP before WW

I agree. Been a while since I played either of these but I don't remember Outset Island being nearly as long as the hometown in TP

tp can be pretty quick to get started if you use relatively easy speedrun tricks. and you can at least skip scenes. in WW you have to sit through the mural outset forsaken and windfall

how often are you guys replaying these Zelda games

I literally did it when I felt like replaying TP for the first time in a decade on a whim. I remembered how long and dull that intro felt even the first time so I just did this and reloaded with all the gear.

I can not relate. I can see trying this if you just happened to be presented with the speedrunning glitch somehow before your recent replay, but I can't say I'd go out of my way to look something like this up before replaying a game. I also didn't really feel like the intro was all that dull on my first playthrough to be fair, and I have only played the game once

I'd much rather play through TP's intro than Windwaker's

>> No.8832297

the mural can be removed with something like BetterWindWaker. you can superswim straight to dragon roost from the start, though you might want to get the sword and shield first, and you won't get the spoils bag oh fuck

>> No.8832316

Wind Waker’s intro isn’t that bad. You can blaze through Outset in 10 minutes and the Forsaken Fortress is a 5 minute beeline if you know what you’re doing. You can be on Windfall in 45 minutes, which isn’t bad at all for a 25+ hour long adventure game.

I've never made it past the tutorial stage in TP

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are both much worse in this regard

Wind Waker's entire intro (everything up until you get back from underwater Hyrule the first time) is too comfy to be boring IMHO TBQH senpai-tachi.
Even the Triforce hunt is chill. The only thing that ever got me was the squid attacks, but that hasn't bothered me since I was a kid. Wind Waker is a solid 8/10 with shitty combat (par for the course in Zelda games for most of the series.)

Okami was the first game that sprung to mind for me too.

For me it's not replaying WW because both the early and late game are shit

Retard.

early master sword is old school as hell and it's not even that hard to do. You're not going to find it by accident but if you know about it you can do it in a few tries no problem.
