the question is why would you? It runs excellently on modern systems and any changes would spoil the original atmosphere/esthetics of the game. Also as mentioned above, it is fuckload of work for a dubious result at best.

In that case it is maybe better to make a sequel or something since you basically have to redo everything from scratch
