PS1's default controller was digital so that was what the focus had to be, and it's not like there were a ton of twin stick tps games back then for them to emulate anyway.
Besides the shooting in Syphon Filter is great. The lock-on system is solid, and the manual first person aiming works fine.

I think the other anon does have a point. Each Act in MGS4 feels completely disconnected to the last. While all the other games have a clear path for you to walk through. Take the backtracking MGS1 for example, you can walk back through the entire army base if you want to.

I was also born in 2000 and grew up with all the same consoles. A lot of my classmates hadn't touched a console made before the 7th generation. Plenty of kids had PS1's, PS2's, Gamecubes, and classic Xboxes, but there were a lot of kids whose first console was the Xbox 360. Most kids also had Wiis but not all of them actually played them.
