Perhaps you've heard of a war going on in Ukraine (the dude who made Everdrives was Ukrainian, and basically ran away with nothing more than his car and a few suitcases. His business was severely disrupted and some of his employees like Stanislav have been conscripted into the Uke Army). It's fucking bullshit, I was planning to get an X7 to replace my ED64Plus (a shit Chinese clone of the Everdrive 2.5), and was on the cusp of ordering before this whole thing blew up.

The sooner the Ukies kill all the Vatniks, the sooner we get our Everdrives back. I wish those potato farmers every success.

Can't go wrong with a Super 64. Pretty cheap, works fine (just remember to reset before turning off to save your game), handles PAL and NTSC. Even comes with a dodgy memory card.

ED64+ has served me well enough. Only drawback is having to reset the console to save, which isn't a huge deal on my end, because I usually like to reboot and play a few games of Wetrix or whatever at the end of a session.

It's also ironically useful for cheesing the save system in Majora's Mask. If you power off the console instead of resetting you'll still have your last owl statue save, which can save a lot of time if you fuck up during a sidequest or something.

What do you mean? Does saving with in game menu not work?, like in ocarina you hit pause and then you save, does that not work?
And do you know if that program to dump gb saves work on it?

If you save your game, and then switch the console straight off, the save wont be recorded. You need to reset,

the way N64 cartridges save is kind of strange
my understanding is, the cheaper flash carts need the reset signal to know to actually write the save to memory
the more expensive flashcarts write the save to a little piece of flash memory that it keeps alive with a tiny battery then properly writes the save to memory on the next power up

I have an ed64+ and my saves get lost all the time even though I hold the reset button like you're supposed to, apparently you need to select the save "type" like eeprom, but how do I find that out, especially if it's a romhack eg. oot randomizer or missing link?
