They only ever made 2 videogames. The DOS port of Mega Man, and the DOS port of Mega Man 3. Every other game with their name attached to it, they only published. Most of the Tom and Jerry games were made by Beam Software, with one made by Software Creations Ltd., and the last one made by Riedel Software Productions, Inc.

It always amuses me it's an actual logo from the 80's and not a current indieshit retro wannabe one, and that's what makes it cute. Am I a hypocrite?

It never occurred to me that Imagineering was to blame for Barbie on the NES, I always assumed it was Hi Tech Expressions. Imagineering is the abominable company that also shit out "Swamp Thing", a ton of Simpsons games, a few "Jeopardy!" and "Home Alone"... to think that David Crane had anything to do in this disaster is a little depressing. Looking back, aside from Pitfall and A Boy And His Blob, I don't know if he's designed anything really noteworthy to be fair.

T&J for Super NES is kinda overhated.
The level design has some shitty moments but for the most part it's decent (at least it's not a maze-like shitformer like most western ones) and the jumping mechanics have that interesting spring effect that is kind of hidden but it's fun once you know it.
People also comment on the music being just 2 shitty tracks but I do like those 2 shitty tracks, it's just an organ synth and a bass but I like the vibe, one funny and one atmospheric.
Graphics also have that comfy early 16-bit shovelware feel to it. I do like Tom's big sprites.

how did the nes version have such superior music? weren't they made by the same people?

I just beat T&J for the snes. I remember seeing advertisements for it as a kid and always wanted to play it. I did have the nes game, which was okay but I remember to be very challenging. I beat the snes game in one sitting. Is the nes game that much harder or was I just a shitter as a child?

snes tom and jerry filtered me as a kid on the toy level... nowadays I can beat it in one sitting. it's easy but still has some slight challenge here and there.
