I downloaded this set of Alphabetical Orgasm awhile back from somewhere, a poster for each letter. I don't remember where it's from, but it came with a second folder of Tong-nou characters that I've been using as a wallpaper.
I don't know if you guys have gotten a hold of this but I can upload it if you want. Really great work if this is a genuine rip of chu-teng, I won't believe it until I sit down and get it running myself but this is one rare fucking game, I never thought it would surface. Sato also designed the cover to this, according to discogs at least
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=451251

And I think you guys have Transmigration, Equal and LSD + Remixes, but you're missing Lucy in the Sky with Dynamites, which I think is labeled as by "Osamu Sato & Out Ass Mao", that supposedly came in a second disc with the PSX game. On discogs it says it's just a single but I'm sitting on a 20 track mix, altogether different than LSD + Remixes, see:

right now, i'm ripping all the audio files. when trying to find a way to do it I noticed that the game assets are in .dir format, which can be edited with macromedia director. the japanese font characters are not generated at real time, they are just rendered images (i'm not sure if all text is like that, but at least it is something). so technically a translation is not limited by the code, we just need to edit the images with gimp. do you think we can get some japanese speaking people to help us translating?

For the people to help with translating, there's surely a few on here and if somebody knows people from /a/ or lurks on some IRC channels on Rizon there's a fair chance we might find somebody who can.
As for the text, I'm pretty sure that most of it is not images, as when I was playing it the characters looked rendered in real time, but who knows.

Hey /vr/, back in May I uploaded WAV and MP3 rips of Osamu Sato's "Equal" album, which is the closest thing to Chuu-Ten's OST. Here are the links again for those interested:

>Osamu Sato - Equal (WAV).zip (567MB)
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwdRA84Zlm6YVlc0Y2l6bFBKTEU/edit
>Osamu Sato - Equal (MP3).zip (120MB)
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwdRA84Zlm6YWFhvdTJ1U09XZ00/edit

For whatever reasons, Equal seems to be more common than Chuu-Ten. When I bought my copy a few months ago something like 4 or 5 copies were on the market at that moment.

It's actually a pretty nice album.

Can anyone translate these? When you go through a number sign with a moon in the middle of it, it randomly transports you to either the moon place or this gambling guy. He wants to play a game, and you choose from two things. If you get it correct you get transported to the moon place, if you get it wrong you lose ALL of your items. But when you get it right you get no new items. Since you got here from a moon icon, I was wondering if he maybe bet you for your items, but if you win he gives you the password to the Moon Shrine. Would be interesting to see what he says anyway.

PRELIMINARY: Make sure you have this installed, or Basilisk won’t work properly. http://www.emaculation.com/basilisk/gtk+-2.10.13-setup.exe
1. Download the following file: https://mega.co.nz/#!kcsWSBhC!Q1C8cgZLtGGxjt5qi2KVoERGBVtH_-a_00ay98qz3do
1 1/2. If you are running a 64-bit machine, go to the CD Rom Drivers folder, then find the “cdenable.sys" file in there, and copy it into “C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers". Basilisk won’t run without it.
2. Extract the contents of the .zip somewhere where you’ll find them.
3. Find them and open up the file called “BasiliskIIGUI.exe". In the Volumes tab, remove both of the files in there. Then, click “Add…" and find, in the BasiliskII folder, ‘install.hfv’ and ‘em2_chuteng.dmg’.
4. In the Memory/Misc tab, change the ‘MacOS RAM Size (MB)’ to 16, and then click ‘Browse…’ and find, in the BasiliskII folder, ‘PERFORMA.ROM’ and click that.
5. Then, make sure that in ‘Graphics/Sound’, the Width is set to 800 and the Height is set to 600.
6. Click ‘Start’ in the bottom left corner of the Basilisk II GUI, and Chu-Teng should be ready to play!

Also I'm assuming asshi (あっし) is a lazy way to way atashi/watashi ("me"/"myself"/"I", etc.). Since atashi is feminine, that would imply this character is a girl.

This translation was a clusterfuck on my end. I'll need someone to review and try it themselves.

Single question marks denote kanji I don't know and can't find the characters for. Question marks in parentheses immediately after kanji denote kanji that I'm not sure if they are correct or not.

>泉の門番 (insert random make believe characters here)
>「生息(?)と?剖(?)」
>月の宮の泉の門番。
>厳(?)重な月の宮では、次々と
>門番が出現する。泉の門番
>には、合言葉が必要らしい。
>またこの泉では、閣(?)アメー
>バ退治によく効(?)く光の武器
>水?が生産されており、タ
>モチュウがせっせと天の川
>へ?んでいる。

The following translation is under the assumption all of the kanji I could find are correct.

The Gatekeeper of the Fountain (insert random make believe characters here)
"Habitat and (missing kanji in a phrase here)"
The gatekeeper of the fountain of the Moon Shrine.
In the strict Moon Shrine, the gatekeeper appears in sequence.
For the gatekeeper of the fountain, the password seems to be necessary.
Also in this fountain, the pavilion amoeba often works on producing the weapon of light (missing a kanji in a phrase here) to exterminate Tamochuu from the Milky Way.

I can guarantee the last sentence is wrong, but it's something vaguely along those lines. I'm assuming Tamochuu is a character or faction in the game. I haven't played the game to any extent yet so I'm just assuming that bit.

【Residence and duties】

[Their] duty is to carry mines from the Moon Shrine Spring to the Milky Way in order to exterminate Darkness.
On [their] way, [they] often drops [their] oh so important mines.
【Mines】
A Light weapon for exterminating Darkness Amoebas. Produced at the Moon Shrine Spring.

タコ/Tako means octopus. 天の川 means milky way, but literally the characters mean something like "Heavenly River" which might be more fitting (I haven't played the game yet, so I don't know). I left the pronouns in brackets because it might as well be a single he or a she, or it might be some gender-neutral creature, the text isn't clear about that.

Suinshin runs the Star Shrine, which is the Shrine with the lowest amount of Light but the highest number of individual Lights in all of Chuuten. Suinshin is weak, but of noble character. He ordered Nanshu to go to Gaiten to confront the Darkness, because Nanshu is the only one who can change his body in a way that is suitable for Gaiten. Nanshu severed his head and face from his body and left his body behind in Chuuten.
Chuuten appears to be the land of the Light, and Gaiten the land of Darkness.

I'm having trouble with 臣人族. Apparently 大臣 is minister and I know for a fact 人 and 族 are "person" and "tribe"/"group" respectively. I'm assuming 臣人族 together means something like group of ministers.

Shitsu
"Residence and duties”
Star Shrine's "Muro" room.

"The Star's Light"
Some fire you carry to graft with. (?)

It would be better to pay attention
as the treasure of the Star Shrine, the Seven Stars have fakes.
It looks like this,
it has an extraordinary resemblance, doesn't it?

>>877423
Furthermore, you can't retrieve them unless you use
a method that is known only to Suinshin.

Well, about Suinshin,
try asking the princess of the Moon Shrine, Sein.

>>877424
The real Seven Stars
grant a light with Suinshin's name attached.
It is neither the light of the sun or the moon,
but it carries a power of light inside it
Only this light is able to defeat the pitch black space Chuihei
that is what I believe.

>>877426
But you see, the only one to defeat Chuihei
is Nanshu alone.
You need to return his face as before.
Thus I ask you to search the split up parts of the face of Nanshu.
