Its kinda cool, played in on emulator with desktop mic, worked surprisingly well. Although she really doesn't understand some phrases well, no matter how clearly you pronounce them.
But she is cute.

Seaman, Seaman 2, N.U.D.E., Odama, Hey You Pikachu, Lifeline. What other primarily voiced controlled (non-singing) games were there? I think Chibi-Robo had mic support.

isn't this the game where you have to say it in a bad japanese impression to actually get her to understand you?

Wish there was a mod that lets you play this without the mic. Like a debug menu where you can select the commands to get her to do stuff, or a mod where you can actually control her and attach commands to the pad somehow instead of having to say it, or select command phrases. If this was on PC I bet it would've been done forever ago.

Does it work with generic usb microphone or does it need specific one?

Played it back in the day on a PS2.
It was an alright adventure game, nothing exceptional story wise.
The voice-gimmick worked surprisingly well with the usual adventure game asterisk of sometimes needing to know exactly which word the devs thought of for a thing and failed to implement alternatives for.

Did get stuck once needing to look up an unobvious timed solution to a scene. But overall was generally intuitive. Though, even when it wasn't, dying didn't tend to send you too far back.

If this game had mouse support, it would be less of a hassle, especially for the parts where the devs were anal retentive on what words to use to look at an item or progress further.

I think a generic Logitech USB mircophone should work

This should be doable with a soundboard. That's probably how the game functions in the first place, translating voice commands into what would be button presses, so if you have a pre-recorded sound that gets her to execute an action reliably, it's just a matter of playing the recording when you want to do an action.
