McDonalds Treasure Land Adventure

I’ve always wanted to like this game more than I do. I’ve started it up like once a year since I discovered it but usually drop it after a few days cause I get tired of the mining grind. It’s leaking with soul though, I want to love this game damnit. Anybody know if the dos version is better?

Everyone who's played it and got through the initial controls-filtering agrees it's insanely good, but the problem is not enough people played it.
This is THE most replayable game of all time. It has a flow state rivaling Tetris. Nearly everything about it is perfect.

Beyond Oasis if you want a zelda-y sort of game, has gorgeous artwork. Highseas Havoc and Tiny Toons Busters Hidden Treasure if you want some scotformers. Iirc the tiny toons game is fairly long and has hidden levels to find. The movement/physics of Buster feel a bit janky at first but you'll get used to it. As for Highseas Havoc, it's just a genuinely fun platformer with nice visuals and music.
Haunting starring Polterguy is one that is hard to describe. Kind of a precursor to Ghost Master, you posses objects in a house to scare off the owners. There are so many animations for the things you posses, it's really entertaining and makes for good replay value if you want to try to see them all. The "final boss" kinda sucks though.
Scooby Doo Mystery if you like easy point and clicks, has two campaigns to do.
This a weird one to recommend, but if you just want to chill out and play something cute, ECCO jr. Yeah it's a baby game but it has some pretty nice music and is all around a comfy time.

First generation box art, as well as the games themselves are mostly superior to the trash that came out later. They have soul.

This is the smallest commercially released Mega Drive game. The ROM is 1 megabit but most of it is empty and the actual game is only about 40k in size. Also check out the absolutely painful SG-1000 port.

Mega Drive didn't get Blackthorne (except an ugly 32X port) but this was the best alternative.

Second Samurai is also very good and nothing like its Amiga counterpart.

The Genesis Outrun games are the worst ports in the series, choppy graphics and subpar draw distances make it almost unplayable. The PC engine ports will always be superior.
