Had this as a pack in game with a racing one idr what it was called and hated this game with a passion at like 11 lmao. I didnt know wtf was going. I wish i still had that pack in combo disc tbqh.

yeah, Sega GT 2002
JSRF on its own is much more expensive than the double pack, I'll never understand that.

>> No.8651293

>>8651262
Ahh thats weird but i guess it might make sense. Most people who wanted it probably had the pack in version or bought a used traded in pack in one and the single version of jsrf had a small printing???

Thanks for reminding me it was called sega gt 2002

If you have a good gaming pc you can run it very nicely with Xemu emulator.

I finished it a while back. My xbox is broken and so I'm glad it works nicely on the emulator.

I played so much JSRF as a teen. Probably beat it like three times.
Really looking forward to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, hopefully the spiritual successor to JSR that it deserves.

Coomlectors aren't rational beings. It's not about what's on the disc, it's about how rare it is. The Sega GT / JSRF combo disc was packaged with consoles, so AFAIK it's more common than the standalone JSRF game. The opposite is true for other combos like Metroid Prime / Wind Waker, which is less common and more expensive than the standalone releases of those games.

The rationality behind the price difference is right fucking there you goddamn moron. It's less common.

Seems like I struck a nerve, I guess you bought standalone JSRF for your epic coomlection. I'm not saying there's no reason coomlectors pay a higher price, I'm saying it's not rational to spend more money on 1 video game than 2.

Nobody said it was good or would be good to buy JSRF on its own, you're just pulling shit out of nowhere because of your seething hatred for collectors that you can't stop thinking about

If JSRF was ported to PC today, it'd be optimized like a 2022 game, not like a game from 2002 which can be maxed out even on low spec machines. You can thank companies like Sega for setting great examples with Persona 4 needing steeper requirements than fucking Crysis, even if it's a PS2 game.

another JSRF thread

-taking away the joystick commands for tags makes the game into "find the icon and press the trigger"
-separating the cops from the tagging means tagging is just an errand to be run
-also no time limit. there is no urgency to complete your tags
-areas are too large, and the more remote areas feel lonely and creepy. this isn't exactly a bad thing, because it gives the game an atmosphere
-forcing you to collect a certain number of graffiti souls before the story can continue. it's not intuitive how to make them appear, so this might stop your playthrough dead in its tracks
-crashing into dancing robots near the end of the game. fucking tedious.

those are the game's big flaws. but I still love it. there are many highlights, like most of the bosses, especially the final boss. if the style has you won over already, then that will probably carry you through to finish the game. it's overall a very pleasant experience.

While it wasn't quite as optimized as it would've been in its original period, the PC port of JSR was very toaster friendly for its time and I appreciated it. I remember conversely that the SA2 port from around the same time genuinely ran worse than emulating the game in NullDC.

I really do have an Xbox with the disc. I think it's a lot better than the first, but I still dropped it. I'm used to better extreme sports games like the Tony Hawk and SSX series. Music bangs though.
