Genre labels are either all "fake", or all valid as long as they're descriptive enough. There's no objective/balanced classification system as a whole that would disqualify unusual labels by any other reason than simple established custom.

I like the Hokuto no Ken Gekiuchi games that were developed for Japanese typing, although I didn't care that much for the last one (Gekiuchi 3), which replaced the anime-style art from the previous games with swiped panels from the manga.
