I think there's something to be said for the fact that despite being entirely wire frame your brain can interpret this as a fully 3D maze.

Unlike most other animals, humans have evolved to use our vision as our means of defense and to gather information for attacking.

Humans are slow, have squishy bodies, too large to burrow hide in holes, and yet large enough to require great amounts of food and water to survive, easily become sick from eating food that is not prepared in certain ways...

But next to our amazing ability to create tools and our ability to create hyper-complex societies, our vision is what helped us reach the position of Predator Maximus.

Our eyes and our brain have evolved to immediately take in information and process it as fast as possible, even if it doesn't make any sense, because a fraction of a second could mean that panther that was camouflaged will eat us, or not noticing that deer run away could mean we now have to starve for the night.

That concept of:

>JUST PROCESS THE GODDAMN IMAGE AND WE'LL SORT IT OUT LATER

Is what allows these nifty little tricks, since you put your body in a willing sense of belief, what your eyes hastingly interpreted as 3D, is what you allow your frontal lobe to process it as such, even though you know in the back of your head that it's fake.

Commentary: And all that water! How the constant sloshing doesn't drive you mad, I have no idea...
