Alone in the Dark thread. Playing it for the first time. There's a lot to like and a lot to dislike. Maybe I need to git gud? It's fun though. I like the music.

What do you think of this game?

The saturn version of 2 runs too slow, stick with it. Once you figure it out its fun

I like it but the controls are horribly unresponsive.

It's great, especially for its time. I'd even say that graphics wise it still looks pretty nice aside from the character models.
Probably the only thing I really dislike about it is that if you go to the underground tunnels too early the game becomes unwinnable. Then again the game allows you to make multiple saves anytime, so it's not a big flaw.

Not really, the game has unlimited saves for a reason. It's just mostly trial and error.

I like how most puzzles in it make sense both logically and in the game world. Not many adventure games can boast this feat.

Am I crazy or did they adjust the controls in 1 since the original dos version? I swear you could just push things without opening the menu like you can on the gog version

Atmospheric, scary, fun.

But could someone explain to the the Horror Duck? What was this?!

>be a kid of no more than probably 6 years old
>get through the all the scary fighting parts (most likely with the help of my older bro)
>go to the room with the ghost dancers, carefully dodging them
>put this on

>game is suddenly not so scary anymore, almost on the contrary

Nothing like a soundblaster blasting the classics with that warm farty synth sound.
