Vros I seem to have contracted corona and feel fucking shite.

Any chill games to help me distract?
Preferably NES-PS1 but no later.

I'll start: Kirby (too bad I've beaten it already)

The one with Yoshi in it - Super Mario Live or something like that. Get harder at the end but ultimately much more casual than any other mario game.

Doom with IDDQD and IDGAF (can also try IDKUK which takes away your weapon and let's you see monsters fight each other)

You'll want something with soothing sounds. Pic related (Doremi Fantasy) has very chill music, cute graphics and isn't too hard. Also, loop 1 of Castlevania 4.

Sounds good. I didn't find original one too hard.

Eh kinda boring but thanks.

I'll add another one: Dune 2 on Sega Genesis. Amazing fucking game.

CV4 is perfect for some chill evening gaming. Just enjoy the subdued ambience the Taro Kudo music provides and the moderate challenge with your hot beverage of choice, wrapped in a blanket. I used to play it in Halloween, good times.

No, he means the SNES one. It's got timed hits, pre-rendered graphics and music by the Kingdom Hearts lady, it's a pretty neat late SNES RPG.

Sorry to hear that man. New studies have suggested that long covid is likely to have extremely negative fx on life expectancy so I’d get cracking on that back log while there’s still time. At least you were wearing a mask at the time of infection so didn’t receive too severe of a viral load.

Bro I'm recovering myself.

Make sure to take some key supplements to help you immune system along, C19 depletes you body of those nutrients. You can find information online.

I'm playing Pokémon, its the perfect sick gamer game. Pokémon Crystal here, Gen II. Very comfy.

I would have said Bloodlines crosses the line towards "not chill" a little, but if you know the game well enough you can get into the same zone Simon's 8 direction whip can get you right off the bat, maybe. Stages 2 and 3 definitely have great atmosphere, even if the Genesis' instrumentation sounds energizing by nature. But I just think Kudo's score is soothing right off the bat, very smooth and sleek flow to the music. Castlevania 4 can be relaxing even for a first time player I think. Still, none of these games are as demanding as CV1-3 and Dracula X anyways, not even with Bloodlines' limited continues, so eh why not.

Speaking of Castlevania 4: there's Axelay, with music by the same dude, and it doesn't get that hard till the hel that is the last stage. I don't think a shmup can get much more ambience-heavy than this, very atmospheric. I just love the way the way this man wrote music, wish he had done more OSTs.

Thats a really good start anon, you may also want to take some Zinc! Very important one.

Also, I want to share with you NAD, its an amino acid that has really helped me to recover after the initial sickness phase. When I started to take it I noticed a quick change and returning of my energy. I saw a lot of evidence in my research it could be a game changer to help heal/prevent long covid. I hope it might be able to help some of the other anons in this thread I read were having long symptoms.
