Can a legit Famicom hooked up to an NTSC TV play Dendy carts?

Is there any way to emulate Dendy games?

If you watched the videos, then you'd see the man in your pictures using an NES emulator to play a Dendy game.

>> No.855404

yes

they are the same games as famicom/NES ones, in famicom cartridge format

He's not bad looking.

He's 25. He probably had to serve in the military when he was 18.

I was watching the video where him and a friend play Battletoads. I was just picking up some intense Russian mob vibes from the beginning, as if the skinny guy was a Russian mob boss and the other guy was his body guard or something. I think I've been watching too many movies.

He looks healthier in some of his latter videos. He could get his teeth fixed and he'd look fine.

Yes, be prepared to go channel surfing to find it though. An AV Mod or an AV Famicom would be better. As for the games themselves, they should run in NTSC, unless they pirated PAL exclusive games.

>Is there any way to emulate Dendy games?

Assuming those ROMs have been dumped, yeah. These are usually real games that have had their copyright removed, with very few modifications done.

It's time for an inoculation to make sure that we have a nice Dendy thread here.

Don't bother with the giant archived thread. Just read these two posts for an explanation of what happened:

I capped all of that nice and cleanly so that we don't have to link to the archive anymore. It pretty much tells the whole story.

I added just a taste of the insanity to that cap. It should work well to keep people alert.

I don't know why, but this is quite possibly the most hilarious thing I have read in awhile. It is like that exhilarating tall tale told at your bedside when you were young, telling of a savage and persistent beast terrorizing a town, while the villagers actively combat the tedious monster, and against all odds come out victorious. Now, this isn't the funny aspect of the writing, but more so the context it is placed into. I haven't heard of such a ridiculous triumph in all of my days, and I tell you, this has just revived the dream state of my childhood when I worshiped brave warriors. Thank you, I really needed that.

I'm glad that it can amuse people now, because holy hell was it a nightmare when it was happening. I was one of the squatters who stayed at the very end. Thank god I had a day off, because I stayed up all night to make sure that thread died. It was like trying to drown a whale. If it slips out and gets one puff of air, you have to start all over.

It still baffles me how the mods did fuck all about the whole affair.

Early in Curse of the Grey Elephant he shows a pic of himself as a kid and it doesn't look like he had back problems back then.
