Is it worth it at all? All of my GBA games work fine but all of the older Game Boy games can't hold a save. I'm starting to think that the arcade experience found in games like Qix or Tetris provide the most value to somebody who wants to actually play them. Or am I just having bad luck with GBC games?
tl;dr Pac-Man Collection actually was the best GBA game of all time.

Fire Emblem could go for a bit of money, that is if it isn't a fake which I think it might be unless it's the lighting making it look fake. Would have to see the PCB to be sure.

You can replace the save batteries in those carts if you can solder.
But Qix, Alleyway, and Heiankyo Alien are great.

why not just replace the batteries inside carts? it's easy, you just need to solder 2 contacts
alternatively, just get a fucking flashcart

Those carts are in really nice condition. Not even sure how that could happen considering when you take the GB game out of the original Gameboy, the friction wears off the sticker bit by bit.

And I agree, it's the puzzle/arcade games that still hold up today. Pipe Dreams, Pac-Man, Yoshi's Cookie, etc.

ignore these tards...you can just use tape and some scissors. melt a pen into the screws and let it cool to open the carts (or just jam some scissors around the screw)

no special skills or tools needed! you can even use regular watch batteries you find in dollar stores in packs of 50 (different sizes) - the only difference is instead of ~20+ years save life you end up with like 15 or 18...not bad if you ask me

you left out the part about cutting the old battery out with an xacto, which is pretty hard to do on GBA games that have the battery mounted upside down on top of a chip

just use scissors...the tabs are highly flexible so you can pry them up and snibsnib
