X-Com is just fucking mental. Still haven't gotten round to Apocalypse, but I started a game on the original earlier today. Crunched the numbers and worked out that a soldier can dual wield two rocket launchers, and fire both in one turn, provided they do bugger all else, or near enough. Only penalty is encumbrance, and the -20% accuracy, which doesn't matter so much with explosives.
With this in mind I equipped the two guys in front place on the Skyranger with dual rawket lawnchairs and begin every map it makes a modicum of sense on with an alpha strike of four large rockets, followed by smoking the ramp and proceeding out carefully.
I'm doing pretty well so far, I've not even finished the second month and I've already interrogated a navigator and captured two leaders and a commander. Only just started manufacturing personal armour, though, so I can't exactly bumrush Cydonia just yet.

No, it doesn't really make sense to, though some deviantartists who get off on stippling have been known to. A guy in a previous thread posted a basic how-to:

"Go to GIMP, change the color to indexed, choose how many colors you want to use for the palette, choose your dithering pattern then clean up manually by hand

Something similar is how PC-98 artists did this. It's never done by hand."
