thankfully after Microprose was bought out by Firaxis they stopped trying to shoehorn their games onto consoles.

Idk, I can’t really envision a scenario where I would want to play a game like civ on console instead of PC. After you’ve played the PC version it would be tough to get used to playing it with a controller.

anyway, there were a whole bunch of Microprose games ported to consoles including F-15 Strike Eagle, Pirates!, Civilization, X-COM, and Civ2 and I can't think of one of these that was better than the computer versions.

I'm usually a consolefag, but I have to concur -- playing civ2 on anything but a computer is completely ass-backwards. the only games like that I've played on console are SimCity and SimEarth.
