How tf do you get PAL games in the US? Most eBay listings are for Japanese versions for games. Are there ways to filter eBay or something?

yeah, there is a "region code" filter.

>> No.8556684

Don’t bother filtering for game regions, filter by seller region instead.

Having the opposite issue, looking for NTSC in Europe.

My advice? Use a VPN set in Europe and shell out the shipping costs

eBay's filter is broken as fuck and you should not trust it, use a PC with ad-blockers so eBay's retarded algorithm don't force you into a dead end based on cookies etc, the type in "metroid snes pal" and start manually going through several pages of listings before you might eventually find what you exactly typed in and searched for.

You can speed this up by using ctrl-f searching, but that's as good as it gets and forget about Amazon since they are 100x worse with region-gating and only leads you to chink repros at best. You have my sympathies btw, I don't envy you latecomers.

Are you guys trolling me with this stupidity? Just go to ebay.co.uk, all listings will be from England. Or go to .fr, .it, .de, whatever, if you need a foreign language game.

...until eBay detects your device region settings/fingerprints and sends you into the retarded algorithm loop again and/or freaks the fuck out when you are trying to actually buy it with your account that's not supposed to be there. What you say might work for you (are you SURE you're not thinking about Amazon?) on whatever you're using but certainly doesn't work for some others.

why tf would you WANT PAL games?

Are you gonna force me to buy a britbong game to prove you wrong? I really don't want to have to pay the shipping but I am petty enough to do it. I'll at least put it in my cart. One second.

Here we go. All you gotta do is pick a listing with international shipping. It knows I'm from America and it has my zip code in the screenshot, I wasn't prevented from doing it or taken to some weird algorithm runaround. I found the listing I wanted on the first page of results and only one listing didn't ship internationally.

>>8557201
In the example here, the game is like $100 from American sellers since it wasn't sold in America.

>>8557224
Yeah we get you can find games from Europe, but the issues is that a lot of what's listed don't show up in searches, the filters won't help and likely makes it worse and if you're lucky you'll find verbatim what you actually searched for on fucking page 8 and start wondering wtf else you're not getting and have missed out on.

I know your ego won't let you admit it, but this must have happen to aswell at some point unless you always give up at first results and don't dig deeper. Don't answer btw, we know you're petty enough to say this has NEVER happen to you and NEVER will because your eBay searches are better because YOU. Just take it's as learning in understanding different perspectives on your journey to discovering that the universe actually doesn't revolve around you.

No, it's legitimately never happened to me, not because I have some special ebay account or because I'm lying to save ego, but because I think you're genuinely exaggerating how difficult it actually is. Maybe if you're buying a rare game that only has one listing that refuses to sell internationally, I guess. But come on now. You're totally making this "problem" up.

Does the whole 50hz thing cause any issues playing PAL games on NTSC consoles? I doubt you're using workarounds to get a PAL console plugged into an American electrical outlet without setting your house on fire

This. Ive been trying to get my hands on an NTSC SNES for about a year now. Theres just none around that arent either broken, completely yellowed, or ship from overseas. The only listing I ever found turned out to having been sold months prior.
