Could be all of those at the same time because you can't tell wether or not it's plural either. So it could be an entire assortment of entities, including males and females. Hence what >>8555606 posted. It trust that this is the appropriate choice here in accordance to the game's plot. It's not a Hellnight/Dark Messiah or Alien Isolation situation in this game, where there's only one monster hunting you, is it?

The only aspect of that title that is certain is that he/she/it/they are alive... or maybe undead. But certainly not "thing(s)" as in objects. What is used for robots btw? いる or ある? Maybe it shifts to the former at some point the more life-like they become?

Doesn't help that the usual reading of ラーメン橋 seems to be ラーメンきょう and denotes a specific type of bridge. Pretty sure it stems from the German word "Rahmen" too, which means "frame" since ラーメン橋 seems to mean rigid-frame bridge. Once in a while you'll find the odd German loanword in Japanese.

Really hard to gauge your language skill here. Sounds like you're currently more of an action guy. So feel free to regard the recommendations below for the other guy as addressing you as well. On top of that maybe try:

Tomba 2 (Will require reading to finish but is literally aimed at kids. Jap version has its own unique soundtrack as a justification for not just going with the US release - which funnily enough for a long time I didn't know even existed.)

Ace Combat 3 (One of the best games on the PS1 imo. Japanese version has a story that WILL go over your head for sure but it should still be fun to play and you'll be able to finish it without much frustration I believe. On top of that the fan translation patch has been out for a year or two now and so you could fall back on that if you really have to. The campaign is well documented I saw anyway. You'll be able to wiki all that stuff.)

Brightis (Light 3D Action RPG focused more on fast combat than anything else. Untranslated. Though there isn't that much reading to do here, what is being said should be paid attention to and advice is to be heeded. It's kind of open so you can miss stuff and get yourself lost in the world. Got a nice artstyle going on. This would probably present the biggest challenge to finish out of these three.)

>>8556184
Oof! I recommend you stick to pure action games with as little story as possible then - SHMUPs, rhythm games and stuff like that.

それは、あなたの後ろにいる! is more like "It is behind you", not "Something is behind you." "それは" in this case could really only be translated to "It". It is something that is know or has been mentioned before and definitely not a person because you can't use それ to refer to a human ever. But it is also not the officical title. What >>8556852 said. IS is pretty damn easy anyway, so I won’t imagine your level for Tatsuya was all that high. When he joins in EP he’s about 10 levels higher than you are at the moment (think of how Jun joins the cast with a significant head start). I played PSP IS and he was about 5 or so levels ahead of me at the time. The game wasn’t too hard so I was getting through I beat the game at around level 52. EP is a bit of a jarring shift in terms of difficulty. I’d argue it’s the hardest of all the Persona games mainly because the ultimate personas aren’t very strong, you start off with shit personas (Katsuya in particular has a pathetically weak one), the encounter rate is out of control and you really need to go digging for cards and grinding contracts. Maybe I just suck at video games but one of the bosses took me a good 45 minutes. The dungeons themselves aren’t too bad, you’ll get through with not much hassle if you’re prepared and know good fusion spells but the bosses are a bit better f a heavy kick in the balls. It’s kind of like the mainline MegaTen games where you have to use buffs a lot but since they work differently than the main series and only affect one character at a time, you’re either in for painfully long boss battles, a lot of grinding or doing annoying lengthy side quests to get spell cards to tack onto your persona. A lot of people tend to prefer EP and I can see why given the cast are more mature and the story and character development is excellent but honestly I like it a fair bit less than Innocent Sin, mainly in that the grinding needed at times just flat out isn’t fun, battles take excessively long to complete and a chunk of the game is spent to replaying dungeons from IS like going through the Aerospace Museum, Club Zodiac, the record store and Xibalba AGAIN

This game is a classic. Wish more RPGs were in such unique settings.

To me it would be the games that would still be the best games even if they weren't Japan only. Sometimes the games were just not localized because of limited means in other countries.

Iru is unironically trash. It's literally just you running around triggering flags to progress the story. It has so little substance and the rare gameplay segments it does have doesn't justify its playtime.

Am I missing something? Was I just very unlucky while choosing paths? I was planning on doing another playthrough to check the other ones, but the only highlight I remember is the car engine level. It was otherwise a pretty barebones puzzler with those weird FMVs of course.

Oh I agree with you 100% but the fact of the matter is you're still gay.
