I have a Gamecube with a GCHD Mk II and a Gameboy Player, as well as a hacked Wii that I keep plugged into a CRT that I also have a Wii2HDMI for

I use the Gamecube for
>Games I actually own and that support progressive scan
>GBI (I have a GBA flashcart)

I use the Wii for
>Games that I'd prefer to play on a CRT
>Games that don't support progressive scan, like Harvest Moon
>Gamecube games that I'm priced out of wanting to buy, like Fire Emblem or Pokemon

then I use the Wii2HDMI and throw it on the flatscreen for most Wii Games since those all support 16:9
