Is every Hookshot meant to be the same one, or are they mass-produced?

>> No.8486546

Don’t you get 2 identical ones in twilight princess? Maybe they’re like a specialized piece of machinery only the most skilled gearsmiths can make

those were the clawshots, and they might be the exact same ones from Skyward Sword

>are they mass-produced?
There's generations between most of the games. They are a custom made niche item used by basically no one.

We know for a fact the Claw Shot is mass-produced, since there's an NPC who set up an entertainment center in town that requires the Claw Shot to play. He keeps lamenting about how few customers he gets because so few people seem to own them. I assume they're the type of thing you'd only buy if your work required it.

the ones you get? probably not as it's design changes each game.

but like >>8489001 said they probably exist as an uncommon tool.

Yeah but if you live in a world like Hyrule, why would you not want one? Think about it even irl. Wouldn't an actual grappling hook that can pull you to where you shoot it be fucking awesome?

>> No.8491676

>>8491651
For the same reason most people don't own rock climbing gear. It's just not something the vast major are going to use often enough to justify the price.

>probably not as it's design changes each game
to be fair most items and entities in Zelda change designs between each game

but the hookshot is very different compared from rock climbing gear. Its a grappling hook that pulls you to where you want to go. THe only effort on your part is aiming it and maybe pulling yourself up over a ledge.

Young Link can't use the hookshot (except when he can), which implies it requires quite a bit of upper body strength to use.

>> No.8494757 [DELETED]

>>8494748
That's because Link needs to use his raging hard-on to break the impact when hookshotting towards walls

>Mass produced

Hyrule is a pre-industrial (i.e. medieval) society. They don't have factories to mass-produce things. Why do you think hookshots were found in treasure chests in dungeons?

>> No.8494906

>>8494836
Because those fucking asshole birds stole it from someone and stuffed it in a random chest. Same way all the rupees get there.

Oh wow I never knew the chain was curled up like that. That makes sense. I never seen this icon in this quality before.

This feels so natural in that beta restoration rom hack. You can go behind that small wall by the stairs and everything.

when I was a kid I thought it was amazing that somebody made this now I could make something like this in 3-4 hours in blender and it would probably look more realistic because render engines are better now than they were back then.
