All mega drive music, even the well composed ones, sound rather weak compared to other PSG chips. I hate how every sound it produces sounds like jingles and rattles rather than a tasteful sawtooth. The bass sounds like fart no matter if its programmed on GEMS or not. It's really lame. Even something like a 6 channel SID would have no such issue.
