Just installed this so I actually have access to the entire GCN library.
Only GameCube game I played was Twin Snakes and Super Mario Sunshine, which both sucked.

What have I been missing out on?

Depends which games you played on PS2 and on later Nintendo systems, cause a lot of the best Gamecube titles got ported. I'm thinking of Capcom titles specifically.
Obviously the Metroid Prime series.
Melee might seem like a weird choice but it does have lots of single player shit to do, so if you find the game fun then that's there.
F-Zero GX. If you don't like racing games then you better try to like this one cause it's more or less the best thing on the console.

You know it's quite amazing just how badass the Wii is. Name aside.
It plays Nintendo's full library up to DS and except for N64, but many of the N64 games you can load up via VC are the best games on the 64 so even there you're getting most of the N64.
The damn little shit is a game-playing madman. And it barely runs warmer than a bee's fart. Also, it's pretty sturdy to. Surprisingly hard to kill, vs. the GC which eats disc drives for breakfast. Easy component hookups too.
Is there a better retro system? Even though it's not technically /vr/ it does /vr/ content better than any other machine, even PC which doesn't like hooking up to trinitrons very much.

Pic related pulls all of that off. How? Is PowerPC really that adaptable?

Pi is trash, I don't know what you people see in it. Not a single one of the SNES emulators is good, it either looks like stop motion or it has trash sound. It's also so prone to freezing and crashing it's comical. Raspberry pi was truly one of my biggest cases of buyers remorse, and I didn't even run anything more advance than a fucking playstation 1 game on it. Pain in the god damn dick to set up too for such little pay off.

With the Wii, installing homebrew channel is so easy a fucking ape could do it and the emulators all work pretty damn well. And as an added bonus the thing can actually run more than two N64 games without shitting all over itself.

My issue with GB/C on a tube TV boils down to preventing a blinding screen from wrecking the phosphors on the tube. VBA-GX allows for an easy way to make the visuals not blinding, and it doesn't have the crackly audio of mBGA's GB emulation. Everything feels just right, and playing with the SNES Classic controller basically makes it like having a Super Gameboy.
I have vision issues so playing on my SP is hard as a coffin nail, gets tiring on the eyes after a few hours because I need a magnifying lamp. Point being, the options that the Wii+emulation has allows for my blind-ass to easily see shit.

My USB Loader GX app is acting kinda sus. It won't fucking load the USB device even though it doesn't do the "waiting for HDD..." thing. It puzzles me because I can access the GameCube games directly from the Nintendont app without any problems whatsoever, so I have to assume it's a problem with the app itself. When BootMii initializes, it turns on the GC controller ports. You can navigate the BootMii menu using a GC controller. The Wiimote doesn't initialize because it's wireless and I assume wireless protocols are not initialized until BootMii is exited from startup and into the main Wii menu.

I believe the "channels" and saves are all saved on the system's memory. Emulation save files(for emulators on HBC) are saved on SD card.
The SD card is useful just as a backup for the system's NAND image to unbrick the console if you mess it up, and as a storage for games/WADs. It's a solid-state booster pack.
