This thread is for celebrating yet another year of incessant hobbyism that relates to retro games.
Post what games are you planning to play on xmas eve and new year.

I've been playing Donkey Kong Country 2, so probably that and then 3.

I'm not playing games because I'll be with my family. Which is better.
Merry christmas and happy new year, anons. May jannies choke on turkey.

I was going to play Snatcher again, but my PVM broke earlier this month and it's being repaired.
I also don't really have the time to sit and play anyway with so much work. I'll be getting some free time at the start of next year, so I hope I'll have my PVM back by then. All I want for Christmas is for the PVM to come back with no issues.

Playing through Final Fantasy 8 while using up my saved up days off. I played it as a kid and didn't understand any of the systems so I am trying it again. I played Evergrace last year for the same reason before you judge the game selection.

Not exactly retro but every year on Christmas Eve I play Animal Crossing, any number of them, be it GameCube (retro), or Wii, NL, or now NH (not retro). It's been a tradition since I was a kid.
In more retro news, I'm playing Polar Express on GBA for Christmas this year. I loved that movie when I was a kid, I remember seeing it in cinemas with my school.
I have been reading a Charles Dickens Christmas anthology however, including all 5 of his Christmas books. I'm enjoying it a lot.
Merry Christmas to you all, anons!

>1999
>clunky as fuck
>still unbeaten as the best Evangelion video game
And no, NGE2 on PS2/PSP isn't a good Eva video game, it's just a boring RPG (literally en Eva skin version of another on-going series) and the only worthwhile stuff is the text that you can read online.

For some reason Evangelion does feel pretty xmas-y/end of the year-y to me.
Probably because the first time I watched EoE was during end of the year (back in 1998!)
