movie has great art direction but the story is not very good, you're probably better of with just the game.

>> No.8437172

Batman on NES covers the first Tim Burton Batman film pretty well, if taking some liberties with the story and locations.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure for DOS is a pretty solid graphical adventure game that lets you follow the movie's plot almost point for point, or make some changes and still reach the ending.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch on the NES is a surprisingly decent action game, far more enjoyable than actually watching Gremlins 2.

The Little Mermaid for NES is a decent action game from Capcom, if a bit on the easy side.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves on NES is an action RPG with a few different game modes to keep it from being too repetitive.

Little Nemo: The Dream Master on NES is a pretty unique platformer with a great deal of polish put into it.

The Addams Family for SNES and Genesis is a damn hard but very pretty and sprawling large platformer full of secret bonus rooms.

Aladdin for SNES and Genesis are both great games known for good graphics, solid controls, and good level design.

Three completely different, no-nonsense arcade games for the price of one, and every one of them is fun enough to stand on its own.

I didn't know any PS1 owner that didn't also own this.

Batman on NES is pretty good, but it has some really shitty enemy placement and pixel jumps in the last stage. thankfully you can use a despawn exploit with the scrolling to get rid of most of those enemies

Also some of the boss designs really feel like they were built for a faster game, it's not insurmountable but it's a bit weird

I read somewhere recently that they're starting the 2d thing again or want to go back to 2d. Though, Disney has been shitting the bed for a while now, don't get too excited until you it's out.

treasure planet makes me so oddly nostalgic

>> No.8446104

Treasure Planet on PS1, Toy story 2 on PS1, The Emperor's New Groove on PS1, and Bugs Bunny lost in time. The sucky thing about movie video games is it's unlikely we'll get a sequel unless the movie gets a sequel, even if the game was really good. It's like a waste of a good game design. Although the transformation into animals in Emperors new groove could be said to have inspired Tak 2's animal levels.

It's pretty amazing when you learn that originally they only planned to make the game for the third movie and rushed the other two when the publisher forced them to.

Was about to post this. I think I barely got past the alleyway level in my childhood, but I played it again last year. Really blew my mind just how small the first level (the house) actually is. I remembered it being absolutely massive back when I was a kid. Pic related.

basically it has the best if both worlds from bith versions. Playstations uncompressed soundtrack fmvs and 64's graphics without the mipmapping filter.
